On the ICK- I recently experienced the ICK when someone close to me tried to extract the essence of my genius, fictionalize it to co-opt it and claim that it would be promotion of social justice all while erasing me and those who entrusted me with all the things. THAT is ICK. You, however are not selling yourself out, though you are extrapolating from your experience, sharing your journey, and simply getting the word out about the years of effort and more years than that or physical fallout from that time. If you were pandering, selling us snake oil, i'd say ICK all day. Instead, between your great humorous voice and keen wit, I say WELCOME to the words that I cannot wait to read in their entirety! Sneak peaks are not enough!
